Job Overview:

The Learning & Development Designer will focus on executing central strategies, using performance consulting techniques to assess needs, identify the root cause of business problems and create formal and informal learning solutions for the business. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, SMEs and other team members to develop face-to-face, live virtual, leader-led, recorded webinars, and e-learning solutions.

Since our workforce is global and diverse, it is critical to leverage technology and provide creative solutions that can be easily deployed to a wide-spread global audience in multiple languages. Instructional design methodology may include various advanced mediums such as video, podcast, mobile e-learning applications design, gaming solutions, social media collaboration, and should bring new innovations to the design team.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop materials using sound instructional design practices such as the ADDIE model and applying Adult Learning Principles
  • Utilize multiple delivery and distribution channels including e-learning, web-based, instructor-led, virtual classroom, mobile, and social collaborative learning programs
  • Use instructional design and multi-media tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe eLearning Suite and Master Collection, Camtasia, Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, and Premier Pro) to provide global learning offerings
  • Advanced working knowledge using Microsoft Office Applications
  • Take action to improve overall quality, effectiveness and relevance of work products and supporting infrastructure on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain LMS content and vendor support interfaces (SkillSoft, CEB)
  • Keep current with changes in the field of learning and development, and remain proficient at new training theories and techniques
  • Other related duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications:

Bachelors or masters leveldegree in related discipline is required.

  • 3-5 plus years of related instructional design experience. Experience developing content for global multi-lingual audiences. Candidate must have previous experience with global SME's, stakeholders, and learners.
  • Experienced instructional designer who will use creativity, innovation and knowledge of adult learning concepts to develop, enhance and continually improve our classroom and blended learning programs. You will create end user training programs as well as curriculum development.
  • Experience implementing technology agnostic social learning methods such as Communities of Practice (CoP), Expertise Location, Streaming Video, Blogs to develop critical talent segments
  • Expertise with course authoring software; Articulate 360 or similar software
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically (up to 30%), non-traditional work schedules as needed
Experience:Required Qualifications

  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically (up to 30%), non-traditional work schedules as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluation) and/or Successive Approximation Model (SAM) to develop learning programs
  • Ability to create project plans, identify key stakeholders, define criteria for success, and effectively manage scope, teams, and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to use web-based applications for collaboration and facilitation, e.g., WebEx, Skype, social media sites, etc
  • Professional memberships/certifications (e.g., ATD, SHRM, NBCC, etc.)
