Sr. Manager- Software Engineering

What will I be doing?

As a Sr Manager of Software Engineering, you will lead and mentor a team of on and offshore developers that are responsible for the architecture, design, and development of the integration of our Supply Chain Management Solution with the industry's # 1 Analytics and Business Intelligence solution, IRI Liquid Data. You will be responsible for overseeing the project team to ensure each phase is completed accurately, on time, and with quality in a cloud native/microservices environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to communicate well with onshore team and support team
  • Independently design, code, unit test and deliver testable user stories
  • Demonstrate solutions through documentation, diagrams, code comments with optimized code.
  • Lead a team of 5-10 members and accountable for team's productivity, on-time deliverable and quality
  • Maintain security standards compliance
  • Engage with key stakeholders, internal and external to develop interfacing specifications and plan integration checkpoints
  • Ability to analyze the issue in detail and provide multiple solutions approaches to a problem statement
  • Develop high quality applications that meets the performance and scalability standards in a cloud platform

Requirements

  • Master's in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of enterprise software development experience in a cloud native/ Microservices Environment
  • Experience directly leading a team of developers or engineers
  • Experience migrating Monolithic architecture to a Microservices architecture preferred
  • Experience working with Java, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, and Azure
  • Experience with building REST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with MVC, MVP and other pub-sub or Observable pattern architectures
  • Experience with container and container orchestration such as Docker & Kubernetes
  • Experience in working in a DevOps culture
  • Agile Scrum experience required
  • Large-scale big data experience preferred
