Job Responsibilities

IRI is looking for a vision led insights professional who thinks beyond the data, focusing on developing actionable insights and strategies. This individual will be a leader in strategic storytelling, with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills as well as a demonstrated ability to synthesize analytical findings into coherent, relevant, actionable insights appropriate to addressing clients' needs. The position will analyze market, supply chain, consumer and customer trends from multiple data sources consisting of IRI data sets.

The Client Insights Consultant works as a strategic partner with multiple clients in the CVS Merchandising Organization by serving as a leader of these critical client relationships - building rapid rapport and consultative partnerships with them along with IRI colleagues and internal CVS business partners. The primary aim of this role is to increase merchant utilization and adoption of IRI data insights, the Unify platform, and overall satisfaction with IRI programs and services. This will be achieved by continually demonstrating measurable value through actionable business insights that help our clients' achieve their goals.

Successful candidates will have previous experience with and exposure to advanced data analysis, an understanding of the retail or CPG industries and relevant management consulting experience in a client-facing capacity.

  • Proactively provides analytical solutions and business insights to identify and address any business issues/gaps and/or opportunities and create value for the client
  • Able to correctly frame business problem (both strategic and tactical), formulate hypotheses to test and develop analytical plans
  • Applies statistical techniques to answer business questions/issues as appropriate
  • Able to analyze data and interpret the findings/trends and translate them into relevant and actionable insights appropriate to clients' business needs
  • Able to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing
  • Able to develop and deliver clear, concise, persuasive and highly polished communications and presentations (both oral and written) that drive understanding and change
  • Inspires commitment and excellence and drives for results
  • Strong executive presence and ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
  • Acts consistently with clients' needs and satisfaction in mind, following through on commitments in a timely and responsive manner
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment, effectively managing virtual and diverse teams

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Proven ability to consult with clients to solve business problems and influence thinking; previous Management Consulting experience with a top firm, in a client-facing capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, economics, or other quantitative field required
  • Experience in Big Data analytics such as consumer panel, customer loyalty program, marketing analytics, and/or supply chain
  • Retail, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, or Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience with IRI or another syndicated data solutions provider preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
