Hydraulic Engineer - Raleigh, NCWe're looking for a Hydraulics/Water Resource Engineer to support the development of Transportation Projects. Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for linear transportation projects, hydraulic culvert/bridge design, and permitting. The desired candidate can also develop erosion and sediment pollution control design plans, as well as abilities to supplement design efforts of the overall civil/highway group.
What We Are Looking For:Proficient knowledge of basic roadway hydrologic and hydraulics principals
Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of technical design of transportation projects (Preferably NCDOT - but not required).
B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
Currently, have PE
Proficient in MS Office and MicroStation, GEOPAK drainage, and HEC-RAS
Experience developing deliverables per NCDOT standards and requirements (including BSR/CSR)
Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.
Develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
Experience in erosion and sediment pollution control design
Experience in roadway design
Experience in utility design
