We're looking for a Hydraulics/Water Resource Engineer to support the development of Transportation Projects. Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for linear transportation projects, hydraulic culvert/bridge design, and permitting. The desired candidate can also develop erosion and sediment pollution control design plans, as well as abilities to supplement design efforts of the overall civil/highway group.

• Proficient knowledge of basic roadway hydrologic and hydraulics principals

• Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of technical design of transportation projects (Preferably NCDOT - but not required).

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required

• Currently, have PE

• Proficient in MS Office and MicroStation, GEOPAK drainage, and HEC-RAS

• Experience developing deliverables per NCDOT standards and requirements (including BSR/CSR)

• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form.

• Develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner

• Experience in erosion and sediment pollution control design

• Experience in roadway design

• Experience in utility design
