What will I be doing?

You will support our Family Dollar account. The position does not have an onsite requirement. However, you may be required to travel to their headquarters in Chesapeake, VA on a monthly/quarterly basis. As the account lead on the Family Dollar business, you will not only serve as the primary face of IRI to the retailer client, but also be responsible for driving IRI solutions, capabilities and engagement across the Family Dollar enterprise, and serve as the resident shopper loyalty thought leader for Family Dollar as we collaboratively launch a loyalty gateway with them.

Job Responsibilities

  • Exceed signed revenue and achieve favorable data contract terms by over-delivering on insights, identifying opportunities to expand/ extend projects, and exceptionally serving the client.
  • Understand dynamics of the Family Dollar relationship; balance IRI's role of purchaser of data and provider of data from an economic and relationship perspective.
  • Ensure data flow and integrity
  • Maintain an ability to keep manufacturer and retailer perspective in mind at all times; able to think through multiple divergent paths and understand the implications on the client and IRI.
  • Work as a strategic partner with an IRI client, serving as a leader of this critical relationship.
  • Develop strategies to increase loyalty and build/enhance programs to increase frequency of trips and spend.
  • Build rapid rapport with key client contacts and across functions within the IRI organization matrices.
  • Consult with client to apply/maximize insights gleaned from IRI data including store data analysis, household purchase behavior analysis, surveys, audits, data modeling, in-market testing, and other custom projects.
  • Serve as a passionate advocate for the client in order to build their businesses; this may involve advocating a sales strategy in a challenging environment.
  • Create indispensable, long-term, solution-focused consultative partnerships.
  • Provide leadership on finding efficiencies across the team (cost savings, productivity, etc.).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with retail shopper loyalty data, syndicated data, analytics, eCommerce, category management, or related fields is required
  • Undergraduate degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of the retail domain (Food, Drug, Mass) and the channel-relevant issues.
  • Marketing and/or sales analytics experience with a CPG company, Retailer, or other CPG industry companies using syndicated data
  • Deep experience with shopper loyalty programs and demonstrated success in increasing frequency of trips and spend.
  • Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications
  • Strong project management and process skills
  • Ability to engage in a consultative manner with clients when helping solve/manage content deliverables
  • Ability to build and leverage mutually beneficial relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to develop creative ways to address business issues
  • Demonstrated planning, leadership, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of client issues and strong analytic skills.
  • Ability to inspire commitment and excellence and drive for results.
  • Experience with IRI solutions. ILD and Unify
  • Good presentation skills with power point and excell
  • Financial management - manages to budget, understands account financial dynamics, suggests ways to be more efficient.
