Judy Young is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion Programs at ILR School of Cornell University. She provides consultation, training, and support for federal and private organizations seeking to diversify their workforce while balancing compliance obligations with practical strategies to facilitate outreach, hiring, retention, and employee engagement.
Specifically, Ms. Young’s interests are in examining the interplay of overlapping disability and veteran focused federal regulations, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment and Assistance Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. Ms. Young is a frequent presenter at major diversity, employment, and veteran-focused conferences and she is a member of the speaker’s bureau of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
