The IRS is hiring Appeals Officers nationwide!
We are hosting a virtual information session about Appeals Officer positions within the Independent Office of Appeals division.
The mission of the Appeals division is to resolve Federal tax controversies without litigation on a basis which is fair and impartial to both the Government and the taxpayer, promotes a consistent application and interpretation of, and voluntary compliance with, the Federal tax laws, and enhances public confidence in the integrity and efficiency of the Internal Revenue Service.
About the Appeals Officer position:
As an Appeals Officer with the Independent Office of Appeals, you will hold conferences and negotiate issues with taxpayers or their representatives to resolve tax disputes in a fair and impartial manner. These employees will be explaining the duties and qualifications needed to be eligible for the position.
