What will you be doing?

Costco is IRI's largest retail gateway offering data and services in five countries: United States, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, and Australia.

In this position, you will be responsible for closing new business and upsell opportunities for the Costco CRX program in the United States and Canada. Successful candidates have a passion for selling and a proven track record in closing sales leads with Fortune 500 companies and small startups. The position resides within a fast-paced team and requires robust utilization of Excel, IRI's Unify Technology, and other internal systems. Within IRI you will articulate the commercial value proposition for the program and ensure it balances value between IRI, Costco, and Costco's vendors. You will own a multi-million-dollar sales revenue objective and maintain accurate revenue forecasting. In addition, you will create and oversee sales best practices.

Effective candidates will have strong organizational skills and the ability to focus and prioritize in a dynamic environment. Proven skills in forecasting, analytics, and revenue management are valued for this position. Candidates with a background in Consulting, Consumer Packaged Goods, Retailer Sales Management, and Business-to-Business Sales Support are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

  • Develop of Annual Sales Plan
  • Accurately and accurately manage revenue pipeline and projections
  • Deliver bi-weekly revenue reporting to c-suite executives
  • Conduct strategic planning for program growth with financial forecasting

Sales process and best practice ownership

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations
  • Negotiate contracts to close
    • Collaborate with Legal Dept on contracting terms
    • Collaborate with Operations on delivery terms
    • Collaborate with Sales co-worker on prospect management
    • Collaborate with Finance on Credit and Collection terms
    • Collaborate with Client-Facing teams on customer support
    • Complete all relevant documentation and communication to ensure all teams are aligned

Oversee the Commercialization value proposition

  • Ensure compliance with program rules of engagement
  • Communicate program changes within IRI and to vendors

Team Leadership

  • Provide effective leadership for Sales Support staff
  • Communicate effectively with operations, management, teammates, and collaborators
  • Recognize the dignity and respect of every colleague
  • Actively contribute to and maintain a work environment that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion

Requirements

  • College degree or proven ability to communicate (written and oral) and to problem-solve in complex situations
  • 7-10+ years in relevant Sales, Consultancy, and or Industry work
  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and achieve sales forecast
  • Proven success in Business-to-Business Sales or Consultancy
  • Track record of working the sales cycle - from prospecting to retention - and proactively identifying new opportunities
  • Compelling demonstrator of software tools
  • Experience working with analytics, developing, and presenting actionable insights
  • Proficient user of MS Office, including advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proclivity for working with data and technology
