COMPANY OVERVIEW

Mechanical Specialties Contractors performs fabrication and installation of High Purity and Process Piping Systems for industrial, scientific & pharmaceutical customers.

SUMMARY

The Helper is responsible for supporting our Process Piping and High Purity job sites and the shop and will assist the welding team. This person will work under the guidance of a Supervisor, Foreman or other team member to learn and attain mechanical skills & abilities necessary to enable advancement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.

• Work safely at all times and abide by all safety rules and requirements.
• Cut in grinding pipe for welding
• Installing hangers
• Retrieving materials and fittings from Conex or storage area
• Cleaning up job sites

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of the use of hand tools
• Able to navigate shop and job sites safely
• High school or general education diploma (GED) with good math skills preferred

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
