This position serves as a key member of the NC State Student Centers event support team with roles in Witherspoon Student Center, Talley Student Union, and Hunt Library. The event support team consists of the Associate Director, Production Coordinators, Operations Coordinator, Graduate Assistants, and Student Center employees. The primary purpose of this position is to support, maintain, and facilitate programs and events that take place within the Student Centers operated buildings with an emphasis on lighting and sound design, technical direction, and production management.

Event Support
* Complete event setups and serve as technical support during events
* Provide onsite support to event clients
* Assist in setup and breakdown of events within the Student Centers operated buildings, including but not limited to table, chairs, and audiovisual equipment
* Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions

Other
* Attend trainings and meetings as required
* Special projects as assigned by Associate Director and Production Coordinators

There will be multiple hires made from this posting.

This is an hourly position with a 10-11 month assignment. There is a mandatory 32-day break at the end of 11 months. Excellent performance during this time may provide an opportunity to renew employment and/or advance.

Minimum Experience/Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work will also be considered.
