Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Principal Architect to join our Parata team in Product Engineering. This role is responsible for the system architecture, technical design/requirements, and overall technical governance of our software solutions. You will participate in software team meetings, requirements scoping with product resources, architecture planning and implementation, and software design reviews.

Serves as a trusted advisor of App Dev team to business partners to achieve strategic objectives through the effective use of technology. You will provide technical guidance and documentation to direct the team on execution while working with other cross functional software development teams during integration discussion. This is an opportunity to use your depth of knowledge working on one of the fastest growing business domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with peer architects in different product spaces and in cloud technology to ensure the software meets architectural standards with regards to security, privacy, performance, and scalability.

  • Transformative thought leader who is responsible for the development and implementation of technical roadmaps. (Current State to Future State)

  • Work as a senior contributor to cross-functional teams to design and deliver software solutions that deliver business value

  • Design software architecture to address business requirements.

  • Provide architectural blueprints for development teams.

  • Lead architectural design sessions with product and development teams.

  • Have working knowledge on product strategy to assist in scoping for new enhancements and solutions involving time to market, potential technical costs, user experience, and resources as part of the overall solution provided.

  • Main driver for technical design.

Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of technical leadership and architecture experience.

  • Extensive understanding of architectural styles and design patterns.

  • Strong proficiency in .Net or related technologies.

  • Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining hosting infrastructure (Cloud and Traditional)

  • Experience with multiple database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres and cloud-based technologies

  • Ability to consult with the business to understand challenges and find secure solutions through their knowledge of the domain, practical experiments, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

  • Ability to think strategically, innovatively, and develop architectural plans that can be executed to drive success.

  • Develop system specification best practices to ensure software functionality, usability, reliability, and availability

Bonus Points

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Experience with Azure DevOps or other development work planning/tracking tools

  • Collaborative and able to bring teams together and direct work to achieve goals

  • Knowledge of software development leveraged with hardware such as automation robots and conveyor solutions is a plus

  • Experience in the Healthcare or pharmacy automation industry is a plus

  • Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
