Dewberry's Raleigh, NC office is looking for a Transportation Regional Market Segment Leader to assist with growing our 20 member transportation practice, which is comprised of Roadway Design, Roadway Drainage, Traffic Engineering, and Bridge Design, in the greater Triangle area of NC. The Transportation Regional Market Segment Leader will participate in the development and execution of client and business development strategies that drive revenue and profit margin growth. The selected candidate will collaborate with market facing leadership throughout Dewberry offices in the southeast and throughout the organization to collectively position for and pursue growth opportunities. The selected candidate must understand and have in-depth knowledge and experience, and client relationships in the North Carolina transportation market, specifically with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and municipal clients.

Responsibilities
    Partner with Transportation Department Manager to recruit, retain, develop and grow a high-performing team throughout North Carolina.
  • Ability to mobilize, energize, and organize cross-functional teams for success in winning and delivering complex projects.
  • Drive business development activities and opportunity capture planning, proposal writing, and oversight.
  • Responsible for operations that lead to meeting sales, revenue, and profit goals of the transportation Market Segment.
  • Serve as Project or Program Manager for large, complex projects that require seasoned management skills.
  • Maintains strong connectivity and relationships with engineering firms and contractors to support effective teaming partnerships.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • BS in Engineering with 15+ years of highway or bridge engineering and project management experience.
  • 10 years of management experience leading a team of professional in the North Carolina transportation market
  • Experience in alternative delivery for Transportation projects desirable.
  • Demonstrated program or project management success for projects with the NCDOT and/or municipalities in NC.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Recognized leader in business development and client relationship development with established relationships with NCDOT and municipalities in Central and Eastern North Carolina.
  • Strategic development and problem-solving skills plus goal-driven and energized by challenges.
  • Expert communicator, motivator, and influencer.
  • Experience collaborating with a large, diverse teams to design and execute strategy that impacts regional and national prominence.
  • Local travel will be required.
  • Driving is a requirement of the position. A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required.
