We are seeking a Traffic Analyst who will work on transportation planning and traffic engineering projects for our Traffic Services Group in our Cary, NC office.

NV5 is seeking a full-time Traffic Analyst in our Cary, NC office.

Traffic signal, ITS, and lighting design
• Signing and striping design
• Construction/work zone traffic control design
• Prepare technical reports and construction plans for traffic elements
• Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and sub-consultants
• Mentor and train staff to expand technical expertise
• Prepare proposals and contract
• Represent NV5 at professional functions

• A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 0-5years of experience.
• Knowledge of industry standard traffic engineering techniques, reference materials, and design criteria.
• Knowledge of NCDOT and other public agency design methods and procedures.
• Experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/Sim Traffic, Sidra, Vissim or similar analysis tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D, MicroStation or similar CADD design tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Creative problem solver.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for occasional overnight travel.
  

Certifications/Licenses:

• EIT Preferred
• Valid Driver's License is required.
