Job Description

At KBI, we are creating planning processes to support the company's growth and position it as the next generation CDMO. The S&OP Master Planner II role is a unique role to lead global planning and execution of the key planning nodes. While each Master Planner would specialize in one planning node, the expectation is that the Planners will be cross trained to support the business needs across all S&OP areas. The current opening is for an S&OP Master Planner II focusing on the Supply Planning Node and will play a role in validating the need of Purchase Requisitions globally.

Unique Duties:

Compared to the other Planners, the S&OP Master Planner II would need to:

  • Be part of the approval flow of the purchase requisitions
  • Collaborate with PMO to ensure that the projects for which the inventory is being procured is signed and confirmed in the form of a contract, letter of intent or change order.
  • Collaborate with the Site Material Planners to ensure documentation of Purchase Requisition rejections
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess the possibility to use different substitute items instead of procuring additional inventory. The cross functional teams are MS&T, QA, Supply Chain, Manufacturing.

Supply Planning: The Master Planners covering this node would have an end-to-end view of various aspects of material management. The Planners will need to closely collaborate with the site Material Planners, Procurement and Finance. The Supply Planning Specialists will contribute to:

Modeling supply risks such as expiry, shortages and surplus

Working closely with Procurement and vendors to gather planning parameters that impact the MRP functionality such as lead times and MOQs.

Work closely with the materials planners on reviewing the Purchase requisitions.

As part of the Global S&OP process, inputs from the Supply Planners will help contribute to constraining the demand.

Demand Planning: The Master Planners covering this node would have an end-to-end view of the various lifecycles of the demand starting from the long-term statistical forecast, to being part of the pipeline opportunities all the way to signed projects. The Planners managing this node need to closely collaborate with the BD, PMO, Finance and Operations and will oversee loading the forecast in SAP. As part of the Global S&OP process, the Demand Planning Specialists will model the unconstrained and constrained demand and will play a crucial role centralizing the signals that the Material Planners and Capacity Planners can use for simulations. They will also work on monetizing the demand for financial planning.

Capacity Planning: The Master Planners covering this node would have an end-to-end view of various aspects of capacity management. The Planners will need to closely collaborate with Manufacturing and MS&T teams to support facility fit and highlight constraints through advanced simulations.

The requirement for this role is:

BS in Science or Engineering with minimum of 4 years industry experience or Masters with 2 years industry experience or PhD with no years industry experience or equivalent education and experience.

Salary Range: $92,627 - $127,362.40

Salary range provided per current averages and expectations. The salary and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
