Job Description

STV is seeking a SeniorPlannerfor our NORTH CAROLINA operation.The Planneris a key role in STV's growing planning practice within our Transportation and Infrastructure area. This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven transportation planner to become part of a dynamic team of multidisciplinary transportation professionals.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a Transportation Planner, Land Use Planner, and/or Environmental Planner on multi-disciplinary projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in and managing a range of complex transportation projects including transit, roadway/highway, and metropolitan and municipal projects. The candidate will be a recognized professional in planning with a focus on transportation planning services and have the following responsibilities:

  • Successfully deliver transportation studies, feasibility studies, planning environmental linkages (PEL) studies, alternatives analysis, NEPA environmental impact statements and assessments and related regulatory technical reports.

  • Work with transportation agencies including federal, state and local authorities.

  • Project management

  • Perform and manage diverse and complex discipline work tasks requiring extensive planning, communication, and management skills

  • Coordination with other office directors/leaders to ensure a consistent level of technical standards and applications on projects.

Additional duties include:

  • Land use planning, multi-modal transportation planning, corridor planning and all others duties as assigned

  • Assisting in the preparation, analysis, and presentation of NEPA and other transportation related planning documents

  • Preparing project mapping and required documents

  • Assists in the preparation, participation, and record's management of project meetings as well as public information meetings and hearings

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Planning, Public Administration, Environmental Planning, Civil Engineering or related degree required

  • A minimum of 10 years' related experience

  • Experience with transit planning, transportation planning, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, etc.

  • GIS skills

  • Proficiency with MSOffice Suite / ARC GIS / Sketch-Up / Other Adobe Creative Suite

  • Ability to interpret CAD Drawings, Proficiency with Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation preferred

Compensation Range:

$105,064.00 - $140,881.00
