Job Description

Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies and materials required for production. Ensure waste is properly disposed of according to recycling and/or disposal protocol.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull or replenish inventory and production supplies for various departments to meet production requirements.
  • Perform manual and clerical duties related to the receipt of materials and supplies via freight or third-party LTL carrier.
  • Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Work with production staff to perform periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
  • Maintain necessary files and documentation.
  • May ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and storage.
  • Complete and maintain all required documents required for handling & shipping Hazardous and Non-hazardous waste.
  • May assist purchasing/accounting with blanket requisitions, invoice reconciliation and issues.
  • Works with purchasing to address any blocked invoices for the plant.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred with 5 or more years relevant work experience
  • Requires knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines.
  • Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles, required.
  • Strong knowledge of required information systems, including materials tracking systems, storage and retrieval systems, inventory control systems and applicable reporting systems which may include spreadsheets, databases and other materials receipt and usage systems.
