Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly qualified associate to join the Labor & Employment and Education Teams in our Raleigh or Research Triangle Park, North Carolina office. This role will focus on providing high quality legal services to higher educational institutions in a variety of areas such as Title IX, faculty employment, student and academic affairs, and athletics. Duties include conducting as well as advising internal investigations, litigation, legal research, drafting policies, conducting training, and counseling clients. In addition, the role may include serving as an external investigator or hearing officer in Title IX matters.
Candidates must have 4 to 6 years of experience in the area of employment law including conducting or advising on investigations and will have knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, court decisions, and legal interpretations related to employment. and students in higher educational institutions. Ideal candidates will have experience working with education clients on employment as well as other areas plus an ability to manage multiple client needs. A background in employment law, both litigation and counseling, is preferred.

Candidates must be licensed, or eligible to be immediately licensed, in North Carolina. Candidates must possess exceptional analytical, written, and oral communication skills, a strong work ethic, and excellent academic credentials.
