Overview

Our Technology, Data, and Innovation (TDI) strategy is focused on strengthening engineering expertise, introducing an agile delivery model, as well as modernizing the Bank's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. As an engineer you will develop and deliver significant components of engineering solutions to satisfy complex and diverse business goals, and you will engage and partner with the Business whilst working within a broader creative, collaborative, and innovative team, with a strong desire to make an impact. You will be responsible to design and lead the implementation of the modern and innovative secrets management solution, integrate it across our hybrid environment and with a number of interface systems (e.g. Security Monitoring, Access Lifecycle Management, Continuous integration/Continuous deployment, or development (CI/CD) tools), and support the adoption of multiple thousand applications across the Bank. Identity & Access Management main objective is to ensure secure access to Deutsche Bank assets and providing the right access for the right users at the right time. Within I&A, a new enterprise-wide Secrets Management capability will be formed to centrally manage credentials used for machine-to-machine authentication and authorization.

What You'll Do

  • Design and oversee the construction of complex IT systems and infrastructure, aligning technology solutions with business goals and requirements

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and developers, to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs

  • Define architecture principles to guide solution design, develop the target technology estate to support the organization's business strategies

  • Develop the target technology estate, develop roadmaps to enable transition to the target estate, govern the transition, and provide guidance and support throughout the implementation process

  • Ensure that solutions are built according to architecture principles and align to the roadmaps and our organization's target architecture

Skills You'll Need

  • Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification

  • Deep understanding of one or more various technology domains, such as infrastructure architecture, application development, data platforms, cloud computing, and security

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner

  • Strong DevOps background and a keen eye on process automations

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and operating a highly available and scalable software product (self-hosted and SaaS)

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Experience in information security, especially identity and access management and secrets management, is a plus

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure: GCP (GKE, CloudSQL, CloudMonitoring, etc.), Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, Helm

  • Good knowledge of Deployment - Automation & CI: GIT, BitBucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Maven, Ant Artifactory, Jenkins, TeamCity, uDeploy

  • Experience in the development and execution of test automation scripts (Selenium, Cucumber, Karate etc.)

  • Good understanding of Microservices and API Management

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,250.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
