We have an opportunity for a Materials Manager to join our Sanford, NC team. You will own and drive the Sales Inventory Operations Planning Process to maintain proper customer service levels as well as inventory across the Manufacturing and Distribution campus in Sanford, NC. You will manage a team of hourly and professional employees responsible for managing purchasing, logistics, warehouse and distribution.

You will:

  • Manage production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts. Responsible for meeting site OTD metrics.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Materials Team to develop/improve supplier relationships and performance levels.
  • Encompasses long-term strategies for cost reduction / quality improvement in partnership agreements.
  • Facilitate and manage continuous improvement teams in areas of internal material flow, procurement, and supply base management.
  • Oversee the forecasting of future material needs.
  • Manages inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage.
  • Manages inventory discrepancies and cycle counting team.
  • Capture and maintain scorecard metrics and recommend improvements to Site Leader.
  • Generate relative reports to support DOO and peers with meetings and analysis.
  • Lead site level Purchasing, Shipping, Parts, Warehouse, and Logistics teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in supply chain, logistics, business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Working knowledge of replenishment systems and lean manufacturing strategies.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office and JDE, SAP, or other similar ERP systems.
  • Proven success in utilizing formal problem resolution tools (RCCM, etc.).
  • Strong experience in utilization of Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
