Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Sales Order Entry Specialist with Wind Solutions will support the sales team with administrative tasks. Create, maintain, and enter information into company's system (ERP) to fulfill customer sales order. Collaborate with purchasing, production, operations, and finance. Communicates order related information with customer.

  • Enter and maintain all elements of a customer sales order including,
    • Basic customer data, parts, sale price, shipping instructions, billing instructions, contacts, due dates and special instructions.
  • Acknowledge order to customer within the time frame set by VP of sales.
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing, operations and production to establish order due dates and releases in alignment customer requirements.
  • Correspond with customer to capture details of sales order elements.
  • Maintain open communication with customers regarding order progress and status updates.
  • Maintain customer data.
  • Inform finance to establish new customers. Assist with gathering required documents.
  • Work with finance to determine tax status of each order applying established guidelines. Obtain tax certificate when required.
  • Update part price lists and part number cross-references for direction of sales.
  • Ordering production and processing the internal orders related to a specific product line
  • Prepare customer quotations.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High school diploma required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate
  • Ability to accurately follow written direction or verbal direction
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Work independently
  • Knowledgeable of ERP or other similar software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
