We have an exciting opportunity asEmployee Experience Specialist supporting our Essential Utilities, Aqua and Peoples Gas businesses and responsible for responding to employee, management and leadership inquiries about human resource policies and employee benefit programs as well as being responsible for updating the HR intranet and providing leave of absence and DOT support.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, employee experience, operational excellence and continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mind-set, advanced research skills and attention to detail are required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides first tier service desk support by answering phone calls and emails from employees, managers, leaders and HR staff regarding such things as benefits, HR policy and procedures, payroll, onboarding, performance management, health and wellness, time-off, and retirement.

  • Creates a positive employee experience by gathering information, researching and troubleshooting employee issues, communicating and following up with employees and bringing inquiries to successful resolution.

  • Performs all functions of the job in a timely manner.

  • Addresses questions on self-service and helps employees navigate through self-service and intranet-based information.

  • Ensures data and record accuracy.

  • Follows established metrics and processes.

  • Raises issues, when appropriate, to the HR Service Desk Lead and/or Centers of Excellence.

  • Responsible for updating relevant HR intranet information.

  • Provides DOT, administrative and leave of absence support.

  • All other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.

  • Minimum two years of Human Resource Department experience.

  • Familiarity with Workday.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and team-oriented skills. Must be able to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor and have the ability to handle difficult situations and customers in a tactful and diplomatic manner.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

  • Extensive understanding of HR practices, policies and procedures.

  • Attentive listening skills.

  • Customer driven focus and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Enthusiastic, flexible, dependable and professional.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
