Primary Function of Organizational Unit | The Office of Undergraduate Admissions recruits, admits, and serves an eligible diverse student population regionally, nationally, and internationally. It embraces the university's commitment to attain the quality of students who are able to matriculate and graduate. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions also maintains the integrity of the admissions process, thus ensuring efficient and systematic evaluation of credentials. Through multiple recruitment strategies, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions works to ensure that eligible students have access to higher education. |

Primary Purpose of Position | The university seeks a dynamic and innovative visionary to serve in an informational role with prospective students, parents and high school counselors. The counselor will manage a assigned geographic territory to recruit a diverse, qualified and talented group of students to the university. Additionally, the admissions counselor will assist with on-camps visitation programs, campus tours, conveying information about the university and the admissions process to prospective students, and parents by means of college fairs, school visits, written communication, e-mail, social media, telecounseling , yield activities and sponsoring the student-volunteer Eagle Ambassador program. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities | Identifies, recruits, and enrolls prospective students in a designated market; manages a recruitment territory, develops recruitment strategies, plans and arranges all phases of regional and local travel; conducts office-based contact by mail and phone with students, and parents if applicable. |
Minimum Education/Experience | A Bachelor's degree, outstanding public speaking , oral and written skills, excellent computer skills, outstanding customer service skills and a valid driver's license. |
