Overview

This position allocates technical resources and associates within the Information Technology (IT) department of the Bank. Manages an associate team to ensure effective delivery of service and project results. Oversees the design, implementation, and support of systems and applications. Partners with peers, senior management, business units, and associate teams to align projects or tasks with wider organizational goals. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Platform Computing, and will lead the Windows Server Engineering and Operations team. This position can support a remote work arrangement.


Responsibilities

  • Talent development and performance management; coaching, and developing a culture of inclusivity and collaboration
  • Partner with senior technical and business leadership to co-develop multi-year roadmaps for the technology areas across the organization
  • Develop annual team operating budget and maintain contracts that support your areas of responsibility
  • Strategic planning, quarterly business reviews and building relevant metrics for key insights
  • Ensuring the productivity, career development, and satisfaction of your teams
  • Coaching, mentoring and onboarding new team members
  • Managing Windows Server operations, maintenance and incident management
  • Identifying and coordinating incident response, security reviews, and infrastructure training
  • Identifying future technical needs and creating a technical strategy with plans to meet them
  • Overseeing cross-functional initiatives with the engineering organization, and evangelize operational best practices
  • Providing input to help us continuously grow and improve
  • Establishing and enforcing security controls & baselines
  • licensing management
  • Ownership of provisioning & decommission automation & orchestration processes
  • Disaster Recovery planning

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $110,152 to $190,930 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Applications development, applications analysis or systems engineering
    Skills:
    • Highly skilled people manager that is capable of optimizing team performance by investing in and coaching individual team members and fostering an environment where engineers can thrive.
    • A clear understanding of FFIEC and SOx regulatory requirements for a large financial institution.
    • Knowledge on providing technical support for security and compliance audits
    • The ability to proactively identify and solve challenges that negatively impact team velocity and successful delivery
    • Enhancing our infrastructure offering by applying industry best practices and processes
    • Brainstorming solutions to - and refining the scope of - your team's infrastructure work
    • 4+ years in a management or technical lead role
    • 10+ years of experience supporting infrastructure environments as an individual contributor in an enterprise environment
    • Expertise in designing and evangelizing secure deployment policies, procedures, and processes
    • Experience helping to make technical decisions and providing guidance to solve problems
    • A great communicator who can succinctly explain complex technical concepts
    • Availability for supporting critical incidents, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
    • Experienced with leading technical root cause analysis (RCA) discussions with application teams
