Interviewing can be stressful and adding lunch or dinner to the meeting makes it trickier as the candidate is expected to eat, drink, and converse at the same time while trying to impress a potential employer.
A few reasons employers take candidates on a lunch or dinner interview is to evaluate their social skills, observe them multitasking, and examine them while working under pressure.
It is also helpful to know the candidate?s skills regarding jobs that require networking and dining with clients because the employer can see the candidate?s strengths and weaknesses in action while observing the candidate?s etiquette.
Interview Interrupted takes you into the mind of the interviewer, telling you why they asked each question, what responses they are seeking, and how they interpret your answers. It is a candid look inside the place we all want to be in the interview - the mind of the person asking the questions.
