ERG () seeks senior database and GIS developers to join our digital solutions team. Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter and include links to their LinkedIn profile, code repository, and any portfolio or other code samples.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • BA/BS (or minor) in Digital and Computational Studies, Computer Science, or related interdisciplinary majors or related fields (e.g., mathematics, science, engineering) Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing GIS and database solutions
  • Experience managing and analyzing geospatial environmental datasets, performing requirements analysis, and designing and deploying enterprise applications and web services
  • Proficient in Oracle Spatial, ArcGIS, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, and Java
  • Experience with platforms such as ArcGIS Online, Amazon Web Services, CentOS Linux, Redhat Linux, or Oracle Linux
  • Experience with source code management tools, such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  • Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment and using Lean/Agile delivery practices
  • Comfortable presenting recommendations and technical solutions to clients
  • Has a passion for growing and mastering new skills, keeps up to date with new tools and techniques, identifies and implements system improvements, and mentors teammates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
